What is ProtoPie Studio MCP?
Available with MCP Core.
Studio MCP runs a local MCP server inside ProtoPie Studio, allowing AI clients like Claude Desktop, Claude Code, and Codex to read and edit the prototype you have open. You can ask the AI client to inspect an interaction, build new ones, or capture the canvas, all from a chat prompt.
Build and refine prototypes with AI
Author layers, layouts, and interactions by prompt — create, modify, arrange, and style layers to build or refine a screen; for example, add a Tap trigger to a button or build a screen where tapping flips a card.
Use your own component libraries — create screens with assets and components from your ProtoPie libraries.
Validate prototypes — check whether the prototype behaves as expected and identify issues in interactions or flows.
Target specific elements with IDs — use a Layer, Scene, Variable, Component, Trigger, Response, or other element ID to tell the AI Agent exactly what to create or edit.
Requirements
ProtoPie Studio 10.3.0 or later (the MCP Server ships from 10.3.0).
Your AI client and ProtoPie Studio must run on the same computer.
A ProtoPie Pro or Enterprise plan.
